Rapid Mobile Redesign
Insight Timer is a mobile app that offers guided meditations, teachers, and timers to help you get into relaxed headspace. Although I enjoy the content and am an active user, I find that I only utilize about 25% of the features and find myself using the same things over and over because I don’t understand many aspects of the app, and don’t find it beginner-friendly as others I’ve used.
In this redesign, my goal was to reimagine an experience that is stress-free and easily accessible for new and returning users from searching for meditation to completing the meditation. To achieve this, I used my own personal experience and prior market research to what Insight Timer could do to stay competitive amongst the array of meditation apps.
The Challenge
The app is not new-user friendly
I find myself returning to the same features every day. I want to feel invited to explore new meditations but the content is disorganized and is hard for exploring.

My Role
Rapidly redesign the app to create an inviting, organized, and personalized experience in a short amount of time. This included market research, wireframing, mock-ups, and prototyping.
